Email really does work fine for us.
It does, right up until an attachment bounces at 25MB, or the specs live in an inbox only one person can see. Email moves files, sometimes. It doesn't take orders: every emailed job still needs someone to call and ask what size, what stock, and when it's due.
WeTransfer and Dropbox links are free. Why would I pay?
A free link moves the files and nothing else. No instructions come with it, nothing gets routed, and the email wears their brand instead of yours. A Dropbox link also makes your team do the fetching: somebody digs through the customer's folders hunting for the file that might be final. What you're paying for is the end of spec-chasing, and an order page that makes you look like the most professional shop your customer works with.
We already have an upload form on our website.
A generic upload widget collects files, and that's where it stops. It won't ask banner questions for banners and card questions for cards, it won't route each job to the right team or confirm anything to your customer, and it won't survive a 2GB plan set.
